Sub-project in Potštát (CZ)

   The idea about realization of the project comes from the need to stop the inhabitants leaving their homes because of the unpropriet situation with the drinking water. The project will help to find a solution for the municipalities and will prepare the complete project documentation. This documentation will be the base form for gaining the investments for building new water network interconnected with the Hranice water network. During the project preparation there have cooperated these municipalities: Potštát, Hranice (local part Středoletí), Uhřínov, Olšovec (local part Boňkov) and Radíkov.

   Thanks to the donation from the project INNOREF the municipalities will use a cooperation with the city of Terni and the organization Comunit? Montana (Italy) and the city of Etoliko (western part of Greece). The partners are ready to solve the common problem with drinking water.

   In the plans of the project there is an idea of utilization the water supplies from the Ostrava regional system, which now provides the drinking water for 0,97 mil. people. The propose solution depands on water pumping, which have now very good quality into the existing water network and also with the building of new water network. In past years there have been realized few testing drill holes, but these surface water quality is not sufficient. There is a must of utilization the water from Ostrava regional system.
